Friday (I'm A Remix)

I like work weeks that just fly by, especially when you've scheduled a crazy busy weekend. This week started off with a long Monday then just zipped to Friday like it was nothing. Why is that? Is it the excess work load I've had this week? Not sure. Who cares. Here's some remixes that will hopefully slow your weekend down.

mp3: Ra Ra Riot - Each Year (RAC Remix)
mp3: Sally Shapiro - Time To Let Go (CFCF Remix)

Friday I'm A Remix

So...it's Friday. How are you all doing? Was the week good? Sunny? Cloudy? Flood-ridden? Was your boss/teacher a prick? Did music inspire you? Bore you? Barrack? Hillary? McCain? Did you see something that amazed you? Did you read something that made you sick to your stomach? Did your computer eat your brain? Did you wake up late? Did you get to sleep? Did you find the one thing you have been looking for all your life? Are you ready for tomorrow? Are you tired of stupid questions? Me too.

There are three super sweet shows to speak of today. That's pretty good fro a Monday. At the Black Cat in DC there's a great show with The Fairlane Parkway, Kitty Hawk, and the Sean McArdle Band. Another great DC show is at DC9 with School Of Language, Medications, and Go Home Robot. If you're in Philly, the place to be is the Electric Factory where Justice performs for the special 'myspace' tour. Enjoy!

Friday (I'm A Remix)

Ah February...the strangest sounding month. The strangest month period...with that whole leap year thing and all. January was good to me most of the time (see this post for the bad times), but all in all 2008 seems to be heading in the right direction. Great music = great shows = great times = great posts = great blog = The Bee's Knees!!!

mp3: Justice - The Phantom III (The Pragmatic Remix)
mp3: Jens Lekman - I'm Leaving You Because I Don't Love You (Spoolwork Remix)
mp3: The Kills - No Wow (MSTRKRFT Remix)

Friday (I'm A Remix)

Once again the end is here...of the week that is. The pain behind my left eye is slowly fading. In turn the headache that has been brewing all week has peaked...and maybe...just maybe...will go away. Enough about me though. Let's talk about you the readers/listeners/lovers/haters. How are you? It's friggin' cold where I am, but it looks like it's colder in many other regions. Green Bay? COLD! Massachusetts? COLD! Brazil? Not cold...but you thought I was gonna say cold...didn't ya? Anyway I've got something that will warm the coldest and overheat the hottest. Remixes.

mp3: Radiohead - Everything In Its Right Place (Oakenfold 2008 Remix)
mp3: Mystery Jets - You Can't Fool Me Dennis (Justice Remix)
mp3: Le Rug - Mammal (Pleasure Treasure Crank Dat Remix)
mp3: M.I.A. - Bucky Done Gun (Paul Devro Remix)

=========

On the live side of things, there's a good show if you head on up to Philly. The Teeth, Gildon Works, and Future Tips play Johnny Brenda's tonight. It should be good, so don't miss it!

Friday (I'm A Remix)

Ahhh...the short work week. Where Friday doesn't really feel like Friday. Don't get me wrong...it's still Friday. I still have the overwhelming joy that two days approach where everything is calm and relaxing. I will still check the clock every hour to see how much longer until this work day ends. So let's call this the pre-weekend before New Years Day eve celebration! Hooray! Go be merry. Paint a picture. Give a hug. Plant a tree. Eat french fries. Watch TV. Run. Jump. Sing. Dance. Listen.

mp3: Human After All (Justice Remix) - Daft Punk
mp3: Needy Girl (Bloc Party Remix) - Chromeo
mp3: 2080 (Brenmar Remix) - Yeasayer
