This past year I saw the name Young Galaxy float around the bloggin world quite a few times, but I never caught a listen until now. A duo from Vancouver, Young Galaxy released their self titled debut earlier in 2007 with some strong reviews. Stephen Ramsay and Catherine McCandless produce solid dream pop. Unlike most music from this genre, it doesn't get old. That's because they are well thought out and beautifully crafted songs layered with harmonized vocals and echoed guitars. I was stunned to find that there really wasn't a bad song on the album. The Arts & Crafts label proves again why it's at the forefront of modern indie rock.
