Another weekend is here bringing in a wave of great shows. Abby Mott plays her second day of shows at the Nerve Center in Baltimore with The Bright Lights, A Cat Called Cricket and In Every Room. In DC the Black Cat has Jukenox the Ghost, Travis Morrison Hellfighters, and the XYZ Affair while the Rock and Roll Hotel has South, Silver State, and KI: Theory. Finally in Philly, Johnny Brenda's has the Kills and Telepathe while the M Room has The Major Leagues.

There are some quality shows tonight in Philly and DC. In DC the 9:30 Club has Carbon/Silicon and Matt Pond PA while the Rock and Roll Hotel has Aloha, Anathallo, and Roofwalkers. Finally in Philly don't miss Greyhounds, The Major Leagues, and Neighborhood Choir at the Khyber.

It's Saturday and there's a world of shows tonight, but if you're from Baltimore(as are we) then you might have a bit of a trek to get to them. In Virginia, IOTA has a great show with Exit Clov, Pretty and Nice, and Cobra Collective. In Philly, The Fire has Cowmuddy, The Junior League, Mad Sweet Pangs, Chris Kasper, Wissahickon Chicken Shack, and Adrien Reiu, while The M Room has The Major Leagues, The Bye Byes, Aderbat, and Spouse performing. Finally in Wilkes-Barre, PA, Cafe Metropolis has The Sw!ms, An Albatross, The Apes, and Casholine.

The Run Down - Friday February 8, 2008

So you're bummed that you missed not one Vampire Weekend shows, but two Vampire Weekend shows. Well luckily today there are a few good ones to help you cope. In Baltimore you have the choice of two sure-to-be-awesome concerts. First up at the Lo-Fi Teletextile from NY (who I posted on here) plays with Photovoltic/Dygn, Cinemasophia, and Kadman. The other is the great White Williams who is smoking out the Ottobar with Ecstatic Sunshine. In Philly you can catch a great local show at the North Star Bar with the Major Leagues, Brown Recluse Sings, and Birmingham's own Wild Sweet Orange. Continuing the sold out theme of the week, catch if you can Cat Power at the Starlight Ballroom with Appaloosa. Have a good Friday!

What's The Deal?

Many of you might be thinking, "Yo Pasta! Where's Toofer Toosday? I need my Toosday fix, dangit!" Well I had a crazy morning and things kind of fell apart on me. So no Toofer, but there is a fantastic show that would cheer anybody up. Granted it's Tuesday, but this is the last day of the residency of Drink Up Buttercup, Cheers Elephant, and New Motels at the Khyber in Philly. To make things even better, they're playing with a kick butt band in The Major Leagues. Do yourself a favor and get on down to that show and forget about this whole Toofer Toosday debacle.
